#Integrity

The simple way to define integrity is letting your yes be yes and no is no. A leader with integrity does not make plans or do things carelessly. They do not waver between yes and no. They do not say yes when they mean no. They are faithful. They do what they say. Because of this they are trustworthy.

 

If you are a Christian, study what Jesus said in Matthew 5:37, what Apostle James said in James 5:12 and what Apostle Paul said in 2 Cor 1:17-20

 

'...You may be asking why I changed my plan. Do you think I make my plans carelessly? Do you think I am like people of the world who say “Yes” when they really mean “No”? As surely as God is faithful, our word to you does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” For Jesus Christ, the Son of God does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says.'
2 Corinthians 1:16-19 NLT

 

We always find a reason or an excuse why we didn’t keep our word. In as much as it is dependent on you, do whatever you promised. Trust is built on integrity. Do not be flippant with your words. Think carefully before you promise anything. Make sure you can fulfill the promise. If not, keep your mouth shut.

 

My challenge to you for the month of May is to let your yes be yes and no is no. Can you do that leader?
